Le Memorie del p. Filippo Tozzi sono contenute in un manoscritto conservato nell'archivio del convento della SS. Annunziata di Firenze. Furono scritte nel 1765, e raccolgono e sintetizzano una corposa documentazione archivistica: Registri di entrata e uscita, cartapecore, Libri dei Partiti, Libri di Ricordanze, Libri di Fabbrica e gli scritti di autori come il Vasari, il Richa, Stefano Rosselli sono la base pwer gli spogli e la descrizione del complesso architettonico della SS. Annunziata.

Le Memorie iniziano con la Piazza e la memoria delle proprietà storiche dei frati Servi di Maria; ma si si parla anche del lastricato, delle acque e della loro raccolta, e di altre opere qui esistenti.

Il p. Tozzi prosegue con la descrizione della cappella di San Sebastiano e dei contratti con i patroni Pucci e con quella della chiesa assieme al ricordo delle liti del convento contro la famiglia Falconieri. Di seguito numerose notizie riguardano il chiostrino dei Voti, l'interno della chiesa, la cappella della SS. Annunziata con le memorie degli abbellimenti che i Medici e altre famiglie fiorentine vi apportarono dal Quattrocento al Settecento e dei doni dei fedeli e degli illustri visitatori. Il p. Tozzi poi riporta poi le notizie trovate sulla cappelle della navata sinistra (entrando in chiesa); ma purtroppo si ferma alla cappella del Crocifisso. Infatti manca del tutto la descrizione delle cappelle della tribuna e di quelle della navata destra della Chiesa. Un secolo dopo, nel 1876, sarà p. Pellegrino Tonini a riprendere le parti essenziali di questo manoscritto e ad integrarlo, completando e pubblicando così la sua nota sua Guida.

La trascrizione delle Memorie è importante per la storia del Santuario, dell'Ordine dei Servi di Maria e della città di Firenze: per facilitare la ricerca agli studiosi, il libro curato da Eugenio Casalini e Paola Ircani Menichini riporta un accurato indice sulle parti della chiesa e del convento, i nomi dei frati, degli estranei, le località citati nel testo.

Una premessa invece parla in generale della devozione e degli abbellimenti architettonici del Santuario nel Settecento, nonché della vita dell'autore dalla nascita, alla vestizione come Servo di Maria e agli incarichi assolti nell'Ordine fino al giorno della sua morte, avvenuta improvvisamente l'11 settembre 1775 sulla Piazza della SS. Annunziata.

Memories of Fr Filippo Tozzi are contained in a manuscript preserved in the convent of SS. Annunziata in Florence. It was written in 1765 and collects and synthesizes a large archival documents. Economic registers, parchments, books of Partiti, books of Ricordanze, books of Fabbrica and other information written by authors such as Giorgio Vasari, Giuseppe Richa, Stefano Rosselli are the ground of an important descriptions of the structure of the Sanctuary.

Memories begin with the description of the Piazza (and the properties of Friars Servants of Mary on this square), of its pavement, canals, drains and other important structure.

Fr. Tozzi follows with the description of the chapel of San Sebastiano, of the contracts with the patrons Pucci, of the church with the memory of litigation against the family Falconieri. Then he describes
the cloister of the Vows, the interior of the church and the chapel of SS. Annunziata with the memories of its embellishments payed by Medici family and by other florentine families from Fifteenth to the Eighteenth century. Memories then report information about the chapels of the left nave (coming to church) but unfortunately they stop at the chapel of the Crucifix. He doesn't write the description of the chapels of tribune and those of the right nave. A century later, in 1876, will be p. Pellegrino Tonini to resume and to integrate this manuscript in his Guida.

The transcript of Memories is important for the history of SS. Annunziata, the Order of Servants of Mary and for the City of Florence: to facilitate research to scholars, the book edited by Eugenio Casalini and Paola Ircani Menichini gives an accurate index about the remarkable things of the SS. Annunziata, the names of the friars, of the other persons and of the places which are mentioned in the manuscript. A premise also recalls the devotion and the architectural embellishments of the Sanctuary in Eighteenth century, and the fr. Tozzi's life from birth to dressing as a Servant of Mary and the assignments had in his Order until the day he died suddenly September 11, 1775 in Piazza of SS. Annunziata.

Les Memoires du P. Filippo Tozzi sont contenues dans un manuscrit conservé dans le couvent de la SS. Annunziata à Florence. Écrit en 1765, le manuscrit recueille et synthétise des documents importants d'archives. Ce sont enregistrements, parchemins, livres de Partiti, livres des souvenirs et des memoires, livres de Fabbrica et écrits des auteurs comme Giorgio Vasari, Giuseppe Richa, Stefano Rosselli.

Les Memories commencent par une description de la Piazza (et des propriétés des Frères Serviteurs de Marie), de son pavage, des canals de l'eau et des autres ouvres regardant le convent. Autres informations parlent de la chapelle de San Sebastiano et des contrats avec les patrons Pucci. Les Memoires continuent avec l'église et le contentieux contre la famille Falconieri, le cloître des votes, l'intérieur et la chapelle de la SS. Annunziata avec les souvenirs des embellissements que les Medici et les autres familles de la ville ont fait faire de la Quinzième à la Dix-huitième siècle.

Pere Tozzi signale ensuite les informations regardant les chapelles sur la nef gauche (en venant à l'église), mais malheureusement, ses souvenirs s'arrêtent à la chapelle du Crucifix. Il ne descrit pas les chapelles de la tribune et ceux de la nef droite de l'église. Un siècle plus tard, en 1876, sera père Pellegrino Tonini à reprendre quelques information de ce manuscrit, et à l'intégrer pleinement dans son Guida.

La transcription des Memoires du Pere Tozzi est importante pour l'histoire du Sanctuaire, de l'Ordre des Servites de Marie et de la Ville de Florence. Pour faciliter la recherche aux chercheurs, le livre édité par Eugenio Casalini et Paola Ircani Menichini donne un indice précis pour les choses remarquables de la SS. Annunziata, les noms des moines, des autres personnes et des lieux contenus dans le manuscript. Une premisse rappelle aussi le dévouement et les ornements architecturaux du temple dans Dix-huitième siècle, et la vie du Pere Tozzi de la naissance à s'habiller comme un Serviteur de Marie et les charges commandés. Il mourut subitement le Septembre 11, 1775 sur la Piazza de la SS. Annunziata.
